Bread of Life Part 2
Hi Guys,
It has been a while. My days are so unpredictable and it can be a challenge getting a chance to film or take pictures of my bakes. I often get distracted half way through and end up with an incomplete recording, but the other day I managed to film myself baking a basic white loaf all the way through- RESULT!
Anywhoooooooo, please join me in trying to bake a white loaf. Your own bread will be so much more rewarding. You can use the same recipe for a pizza base/ calzone or can add different flavours or toppings like poppy seeds or sesame seeds. If you are going to add a topping, then glaze the top of the loaf with milk or a beaten egg after the second rise (after you have shaped your dough) before putting it into the oven.
I hope that you bare with the length. It is just under 10mins, so you can stop and start where necessary and if at some point, I get some time to myself that is idle, I can even put it into parts. But until then, please bear with my jibber-jabbering :)
Please let me know if you try it and leave a picture xxx
Happy baking xxx
500g Strong white flour
300ml luke warm water
1 tsp salt
1 sachet of fast action dried yeast (7g)
1 tbsp Olive oil/ 15g butter/margarine
