Bread of Life

Seeded loaf
I LOVE to cook! I love to feed people and love to eat (don't we all?). Anywhoooooooooooooo I have previously always found bread, pastry and pasta, 'no go' areas. They all seemed like quite hard things to make. But over the last year or two, I have fought the fear and somewhat conquered them.

I especially love baking bread. Now I am no expert as such, as i've only been at it for a relatively short time, but I do make a good loaf of bread! I possibly like baking bread because I like eating it so much (VERY DANGEROUS for my thighs).

I hope to use this blog to give cooking hints and tips, from bakes to dinners to snacks and I hope that they will come in handy.
I thought that since I love bread so much it was only right to make my first official blog post about it. This weekend I was baking a marble cake and a seeded loaf for a baby shower. I'm currently waiting for my new oven to be set up- my old one died :o(,  but luckily I had my trusted sister at Eat Pray Bake to save the day and use her oven. Seeing that I had to bake them at her house and my mum was going to be there, I was not going to get away with baking anything in her kitchen without including a Hardo bread (a Jamaican everyday bread).
It turned out to be a fairly hectic morning as I had three things to bake within a couple of hours, and they needed to be baked at different temperatures. I left with one seeded loaf (I made enough dough for two) and marble cake in hand. The rest was left in the hands of my mum and sister to watch over- with my strict instructions of course.

Seeded loaf with lunch :O) yummy...

Made with love xxx
Above are the results of what was left at my sister's house. I'd say they did a good job.....
