Rashida's Kitchen: Mackerel in Minutes x
Hi guys,
It has been a while, but I am back. Sharing some goodies from my kitchen. They will be the simplest of things to do and follow, using basic ingredients to produce delicious meals/ dishes.
It is my first time 'vlogging' so be patient with me and give me some feedback on how I can make them more user friendly.
My first offering is Mackerel in a Rich Tomato Sauce. I have chosen to serve it with Spaghetti as a healthier alternative to spag bol, but you can also serve with rice, yam or potatoes. It is a bit of an unusual combo, but it tastes great and is a quick family favourite.
Funnily enough, I had recorded how to make bread as a first post, but I ended up giving the bread away before videoing the last section! I'm a complete amateur...
This first one is a little waffly and the quality isn't great (it wouldn't upload at a higher quality) but, I hope you get the gist. x
This can be done with fresh Mackerel. Just coat the mackerel pieces in plain flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Shallow fry it in a little oil for 3-4 minutes each side. Drain on some kitchen towel, leave aside and follow the method to make the stew from the video. Put the mackerel in at the same stage and you'll have an equally delicious dinner.
